Government Creates Anti-Bullying Site

WASHINGTON - MARCH 10: U.S. President Barack ...Image by Getty Images via @daylifeMichelle Obama has called for a conference to discuss the problem of bullying in our country. "The conference was an outgrowth of an effort among six cabinet agencies that began last August with a session at the Education Department to promote cooperation between government and nongovernment players, including the National PTA and MTV" stated by NYTimes article.

The conference included parents of two youngsters who committed suicide because of bullying. This website, StopBullying.gov was a direct outcome of the discussions that occurred during the conference. Offering a place to find information for parents teachers and students is at least a start of helping those who have become targets for bullying. There are articles on cyberbullying, advice for stepping in as a teen or adult to assist victims, and other helpful hints.
